Visit the Rothesay Castle and the superb museum behind the castle.

Mount Stuart House and Gardens are home to some incredible architecture and history. 

Visit the Discovery Centre in the Winter Garden.

Try the Victorian Toilets on the pier for a taste of times past. 

Pop along to Ardencraig Gardens or out to St Blanes Chapel where tradition holds that a monastery was founded here by St Catan in the late AD 500s.

Ettrick Bay with an excellent cafe. 

The Straad, Scalpsie for seals and if you are very lucky a sea otter.

Kilchattan Bay for a great beach, lovely tea room and the start of the West Island Way. 

Walk up the Serpentine to the Jam Jar on Canada Hill for lunch with a great view.

Take the Open Top Bus Tour to see the island in one go. 

Take a Bute Boat Tours rib ride and visit Arran or Tighnabruich.

Three golf courses await the keen golfer and a pitch and putt for the amateurs.

Hire a paddle board or kayak.

Hire an electric bike or a normal one but be warned the hills can be brutal.
